Publishers Blurb:
Koni Waves is back and this time she’s brought company, as Marat Mychaels’ Demonslayer makes her return to comics. A beautiful young lady visits the island with one thing on her mind… the Dagger of Puea. Legend says this weapon is the source to Puea’s power and the key to his and Prince Hopohopo’s resurrection. Is this just another local legend used to sell specially priced drinks and souvenir tiki cups or could the God of Darkness really be returning? It’s up to Koni and Demonslayer to find out, as they join forces in this epic crossover event. The Koni-verse will never be the same. All this and the first appearance of Marat Mychaels’ latest creation, Genesis!

Reviewer Comments:
Evil supernatural tiki gods? Beautiful women? Action? Sounds like fun! And it is. This one-shot builds on an interesting cast of characters, and manages to pull of an interesting and fun story within one issue. The publisher's blurb says it all, so no sense repeating it down here...

In a time where it seems like every comic coming out plays out the Buffy-esqe vampire themes to death, its a breath of fresh air to see something new like... well.. an evil tiki god! While this one shot is out of the Koni Waves series, you'll have no problem picking this book up and enjoying it as a stand alone story. In fact, before the story begins, inside the front cover, they give you a lowdown of all the characters and what you need to know about them (more comics should do this). While some of the characterization is clunky at times, and the "Demonslayer" character changes into an outfit made of floss at the first sign of action (not really a bad thing, depending), the fun action sequences make up for any silliness.

Over all, not a bad issue to get to know some off these characters. My curiosity has been piqued for future Koni Waves stories.
