<br><img src="http://www.projectfanboy.com/images/reviews/henryandbutcher1.jpg" hspace="10" align="left">Title: Henry & Butcher #1 (of 5 issue miniseries)
Publisher: Pitbros Productions Writer: Gonzalo Ventura Artist: Martin Blanco 30 Pages b&w Safety Content Label: Minimum Adult Language Publishers Blurb: What if your life, one day, goes straight to hell? It’s difficult to say, don’t you think? Well, everything has a beginning, even tragedies… so to speak. Henry & Butcher is about Henry’s life and from now on everything goes worse. "Henry And Butcher #1 sets up what should turn out to be a hard-boiled mystery, with plenty of face-pounding and arm-breaking violence given Henry’s violent past, and plenty of delicious red herrings to prolong the pain and confusion he will have to suffer before reaching his destination".- Geeks of Doom magazine. Reviewer Comments: Pitbros Productions seems to have an interesting storyline here and might actually be changing my views on black and white comics. I was impressed with the first issue of Henry & Butcher, and the ending definitely makes you want to read the next issue. Henry seems to have gone insane, thinks he's lost his perfect life, and the only one who can explain things to him is his dog Butcher. Stuck in a madhouse, the issue ends leaving us wondering how he's going to get out, and whether he's really insane or if something crazy has happened to him and somehow altered reality. |
