Experiencing life and love for the first time Huxley and Tesla have formed a unique and inseparable bond. But preventing their happiness, and their love, the two mad scientists wage a vicious war against each other where the Clockwork Girl and the Mutant Boy are bystanders caught in the middle…
Tesla, the Clockwork Girl, and Huxley finally "hang out" and become fast friends, until Tesla unwittingly offends him by repeating her fathers plans have her destroy Huxley. When both their fathers discover what has happened they both explain how horrible the other is... the result is very remenicient of Romeo and Juliet.
To say this series is beautiful would be an understatement. Grant Bond's art is wonderfully whimsical, on par with classic Disney renderings, and the story is fun and moving. The only problem I could find with this book is that its very brief. I think that the large panel style is effective, but doesn't allow for much story per issue, and being only a four issue mini-series, well, I think the end result will be readers wanting more out of the series. Definitely worth checking out, though!
