A nameless robot girl has recently been given the gift of life from her creator, while exploring the wonders of an ordinary world she meets an amazing mutant boy and they share a friendship that must overcome their warring families.
Issue number two brings us back into the world of Clockwork Girl. Huxley and his friend adventure out to the mechanical castle to find the robotic creation. Meanwhile Wilhelm journeys back in his mind to the incident that first tore him and Dendrus apart. (Dendrus being the creator of Huxley) Once the past catches up to the present you still can't help but to wonder, how smart can this child robot truly be?
Clockwork Girl, even though being short seems like it will have a good run. The art and flow of the story reminds me of Tim Burton mixed with an episode of Gargoyles, or another old school Disney cartoon. Part of me would really like to see the comic come out in a few hardback copies rather then dozens of thirty paged tpb, but I'm sure with time it will happen.(especially since hardbacks seem to be the big market now ) I look forward to seeing more of the series and seeing the CWG evolve as this tale of rivalry, unorthodox parenting, and a very bizarre friendship unfolds.
