Penciller needed for Jack Hammer: Political Science
|
|
Jan 16, 2010 - 1:16 AM - by BrandonBarrows
|
Company: Brandon Barrows
Position: Penciller
Project Name: Jack Hammer: Political Science
Position Requirements:
Looking for someone with solid pencil work, preferably who inks their own work as well. I'd prefer to work with one artist if possible so penciling, inking, and coloring your own work is a huge plus. Looking for a realistic style, preferably. Each issue is 24 pages plus cover.
Position Description:
I am looking for an artist for my new comic series. Character design work will be neccessary for this project. The series is a detective book with elements of super hero books and crime noir.
Guaranteed Publication: Yes
Salary Range: Negotiable, I'm willing to discuss this with you when we come to it.
Additional Comments:
The first issue of the first limited series will be self-published, then shopped around to independent publishers for future issues. The other three issues of the series may be self-published, as well, but all issues will be published one way or the other. This is a great chance to add to an artist's portfolio while helping me bring my vision to life.
Application Deadline: 3\1\2010
Contact Details:
Please contact me via private message on the forum, or feel free to email me at Brandon_Barrows@yahoo.com. Please include as much information about your artwork as you feel neccessary and provide me with links to your material online. Thank you very much and I look forward to hearing from you.

Penciller needed for Zombie Anthology Book 1
|
|
Dec 20, 2009 - 2:48 AM - by williefreeman
|
Company: Incubator Press
Project Name: Zombie Anthology Book 1
Position: Penciller
Position Requirements:
+Penciller must be able to ink as well.
+Our anthologies are published in Black & White.
+Styles ranging from stylized (Sin City) to realistic (Walking Dead) to Manga (Bleach, not Chibi Vampire).
+Must be able to work from a script.
Position Description:
Our zombie anthology is a three volume series. Each features four stories. Each story is exactly eight pages long. We need artists to pencil and ink those eight pages. Visiting the site will reveal the other projects we're issuing calls for participation for, but our immediate concern is the first book on deck.
Please submit following the guidelines spelled out on our "Submissions" page. If you have an online gallery, please include a link to it.
We respond to every submission and (as long as you can meet the deadlines) have no problem featuring the same artist on multiple projects.
We don't pay, however. We give you 3 free copies and you can have as many more as you'd like at cost + shipping.
The point of the Anthology Experiment at Incubator Press is to get comics in the hands of their creators so they can sell them, use them as portfolio pieces, take them to conventions (we highly encourage our contributors to visit conventions), and hopefully get themselves paying gigs from the big boys.
If we accept your submission and work with us through the creation of the 8-page tale, we will publish it.
Guaranteed Publication: Yes
Shared Profits: No
Additional Comments:
We send creators three (3) free copies of any comic they appear in, including any future issues that contain their past stories. Creators can buy as many additional copies of said issues at cost plus shipping & handling. Creators can then sell the comics at cover price and make a profit.
Application Deadline:
