Ok, here's a 1st look at DC's SUPERMAN: EARTH ONE tpb, due out October 27th.
Writer JMS has already shaken up the fandom-verse with his "Grounded" storyline in SUPERMAN, and even more so with his jacket-and-long-pants wearing WONDER WOMAN. Here he gets to revist Superman's "year one" adventures in the setting of the more modern Earth One (Multiverse Cannon?).
Here's a sneak peek at two of next week's Bat-books (there are 5, plus a Red Robin tpb, coming out on Thursday--remember, labor day pushes the shipment back a day).

Scott Kurtz of the Player Vs Player webcomic posted an interesting rant about the apparent ordeal between Mark Waid and Sergio Aragones at the Harvey Awards which recently took place at this years Baltimore Comicon. According to Kurtz's blog Mark Waid suggested that the "file-sharing genie was out of the bottle and rather than spend fruitless hours trying to get it back in, everyone should all just stop being afraid of this new culture and instead embrace it and try to harness its power".

New Printing of Perennial Classic! Midnight Nation is a thought-provoking story with religious overtones about a police officer in limbo who goes on a cross-country search for his soul but encounters some mighty obstacles along the way. When it first came out in 2000, J. Michael Straczynski's (Superman, Wonder Woman) provocative storytelling and the fantastic art of Gary Frank (Superman: Secret Origin, Supreme Power) captivated readers with its mix of action, horror and drama built around a message of hope, loyalty and sacrifice.
